Autumn is in the air
As it is with autumn though, change happens fast and once again we welcome the colours of the season as Devon becomes awash with vibrant hues and we embark on our autumn adventures. Our walk to a lesser known part of Exeter’s outskirts provides stunning cityscape views that look incredible with the trees turning to reds and golds. Then, as we near the end of the month, make sure you hold onto our spooktacular skeleton biscuit recipe for a bit of Halloween baking!
We also welcome the return of our restaurant feature, taking our first look at how socially distanced dining can be achieved in a safe and protected way. With the ‘eat out to help out’ scheme now over, it’s vital we continue to support our local independents – like we do with all of the local businesses in our communities – who are doing all they can to follow guidelines while still providing a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
It’s still amazing to hear everyone’s stories of community positivity. It’s warming to see neighbourhoods really come together and it feels as though people are opening their doors, and their hearts, to one another to continue providing support, care and kindness during such difficult times. As always, we want to hear from you so if you know of anyone with a story to tell that you think the rest of Devon needs to hear about, please let us know!
Until next month, stay safe, be kind and enjoy this month’s edition.
