Crave Restaurant

Look up the word Crave in the Oxford English Dictionary and you’ll see the definition: ‘to feel a powerful desire for something.’

With a huge selection of authentic, flavour-rich dishes from all around the world – after visiting Crave Restaurant, this vibrant new restaurant on Exeter’s Quay, I for one am very much craving more of what they’re all about.

Step inside Crave’s bold interior, full of colour, texture and a cacophony of world food aromas, and you’ll feel as if you’ve been transported to a place where the sun is always shining. With tropical wallpaper and exposed brickwork, it feels effortlessly cool yet warm and welcoming, whether it’s a date night, dinner with friends or a family meal out.

This new indie restaurant is being driven by its ethos of good and honest food.

An eclectic menu offers plenty of variety for all tastes, with one key ingredient in common – a focus on using high-quality, fresh ingredients sourced as locally as possible. Crave uses fish sourced straight from Brixham’s fish market each morning and 28-day dry aged prime cuts ensuring quality that enhances an already appealing selection.

If you’re one of those that needs to look at a menu in advance then that’s a must here! Mouthwatering burgers sit alongside hand-dived scallops and fresh local oysters. Classic dishes have their own subtle little extras, like the hearty fresh haddock in a crisp gluten-free ale batter. Highlights for us include the Crave Tacos and the Chilli Honey Prawns which were sizeable and made an impact.

Crave’s own unique cocktails add to the fun, lively feel of the place, bringing further colour and intrigue to your experience.

Head down to Crave between 9 – 11:15am and enjoy a long, leisurely breakfast. Try our favourite – the Mumbai Breakfast – naan bread with crispy bacon, fried egg, cream cheese, sweet chilli jam and a sprinkle of fresh coriander and chilli, served with a coconut and mango dip.

Satisfy the sweet tooth craving with the decadent triple chocolate tart – not only scrumptious in taste but also boasts being both vegan and gluten-free!

What’s more, Crave is dog-friendly and offers free Wi-Fi for those looking for working lunches.

Crave adds to a restaurant landscape that includes an increasing variety of independent restaurants across Exeter, managing to pitch itself in a unique way offering food from across the globe while championing everything we love about living in Devon.

Have we got you craving Crave?
