Enjoy fabulous fruit picking on this working farm that boasts stunning views over the Teign Estuary. Here you can pick sweet and juicy blackberries, jewel-like redcurrants, French beans and more. There’s even opportunity to pick your own fragrant sweet peas plus sunflowers in a variety of colours – including velvety dark ruby.
Bring your own container (a colander is a great PYO hack). Free entry. Open from 10am – 6pm until end of October, check online for a weekly update on what’s available to pick.

As we move into autumn guests are invited on selected weekends in October to this family-friendly pumpkin patch, just off the A38 near Newton Abbot. Grab a wheelbarrow (provided) and enjoy colourful photo opportunities as a family as you enjoy picking a pumpkin or two. Entry is free and no booking is required. While it’s not exactly pick your own, for something a bit different you can book a one day workshop at Grocycle Farm, near Totnes, to learn how to grow mushrooms of your own. This popular day out starts with a tour of the farm before getting hands on with the basics of mushroom cultivation theory and the tools to carry on at home.
